CHARLA CON SEAN ZATORSKY

Hoy les traigo a un cantante de la banda Sinsaenum, también fue tecladista y hacia los coros en Chimaira un buen amigo también al darme esta nota y poder hablar un poco de todo.

En algunos días tendremos una nota cara a cara o videollama para que sea mucho más fluida la conversación.

Por allá en el 2013 vino a la argentina con chimaira y desde ahí tuvimos una buena relación.

Pablo:Hola Sean, ¿cómo estás? Hace mucho que no nos vemos, la última vez que estuviste en Latinoamérica fue en la gira de Chimaira allá en el 2013, al año siguiente la banda se separó, ¿cómo afectó eso?

Sean: Hola Pablo, es un placer volver a saber de ti. América Latina no tuvo ningún efecto real en la separación de la banda. Todos teníamos cosas sucediendo y se volvió demasiado caótico para que ambas bandas siguieran adelante. 

Pablo:¿Aún tienes contacto con alguno de los chicos de la banda? 

Sean:Por supuesto, recientemente me uní a ellos en el escenario a principios de este año para una aparición sorpresa de Pure Hatred. hay varios vídeos por ahí. 

Pablo:En 2016 empezasteis con Sinsaenum, ¿se está haciendo nuevo material? 

Sean:De hecho, había estado trabajando en Sinsaenum desde 2013 con Fred, pero no pudimos lanzarlo hasta 2016 porque Joey todavía tenía obligaciones contractuales con Roadrunner. Me emociona anunciar que acabo de terminar la última parte de todas mis partes para el nuevo disco de Sinsaenum, que tentativamente saldrá el próximo año. 

Pablo:Me imagino que la muerte de Joey fue muy dura tanto para ti como para la banda.

Sean: Sí, Joey era un muy buen amigo, un tipo al que podías levantar el teléfono y enviarle un mensaje de texto estúpido y divertido a las 5 a.m., y él inmediatamente respondía con algo igualmente ingenioso y divertido. Lo extraño, lo extrañamos. Fue una gran sorpresa, acababa de hablar con él aproximadamente una semana antes de su muerte.

Pablo:Tuviste que tomar un descanso allí, pero ¿pudiste encontrar otro baterista o todavía estás buscando? 

Sean:Si el baterista está casi asegurado

Pablo:se puede dar una pista más de la que vimos en una reciente entrevista para otro medio español. 

Sean:Tenemos al nuevo baterista mientras el nuevo disco está terminado, pero no puedo decir quién es en este momento hasta que preparemos toda la prensa y las fotos, etc. 

Pablo:¿Qué proyectos tienes para el futuro? Ya sea con Sinsaenum o con su personal.

Sean:El nuevo DAATH se lanzará el próximo año, así como el nuevo Vented, el nuevo Sinsaenum y una nueva banda llamada "And The Ugly". 

Pablo:Muchas veces se vuelve complicado cuando un integrante está involucrado en varios proyectos porque tú mismo necesitas urgentemente hacer, llevar a cabo y poder dejar tus ideas para que no queden en el olvido, ¿te quedas con eso o lo tomas bien?

Sean: En todas mis bandas la mayor parte de la composición es un esfuerzo colectivo de una forma u otra. Todo el mundo tiene su opinión, así que si empiezo a seguir el camino de un patrón o letra anterior, me guiarán hacia algo nuevo.

 Pablo:¿Cuáles son tus bandas favoritas de la escena actual? 

Sean:No escucho muchas cosas nuevas, aunque una de mis bandas favoritas más recientes es Bad Omens. También me gusta sleep token jajaja y aparentemente también a todos los demás. 

Oablo:¿Cuáles fueron vuestras bandas de referencia que os hicieron destacar hoy tanto en los escenarios como en los estudios de grabación? 

Sean:Mis influencias: Crecí en la era musical de Korn, Limp Bizkit, Manson y Deftones. A mí también me encanta el thrash de principios de los 80. pero principalmente esa era del nu metal Slipknot.

Hello Sean, how are you? We haven't seen each other for so long, the last time you were in Latin America was on Chimaira's tour there in 2013, the following year the band broke up, how did that affect 

Hey Pablo, it's great to hear from you again. Latin America had no real effect on the band splitting. We just all had stuff going on and it became to chaotic to keep both bands going .

Do you still have contact with any of the guys in the band?

Of course, I recently joined them on stage earlier this year for a surprise guest appearance of Pure Hatred.

In 2016 you started with Sinsaenum, is there new material being made?

I had actually been working on Sinsaenum since 2013 with Fred, we just couldn't release it until 2016 as Joey still had contractual obligations to Roadrunner. I am excited to announce I just finished the last bit of all of my parts for the new Sinsaenum record, tentatively due out next year.

Joey's death was very hard for both you and the band, I imagine.

Yeah man Joey was a really good friend, a dude you could pick up the phone and send a stupid and funny text message to at 5am, and he would immediately reply with something equally witty and funny. I miss him, we miss him. it was just such a shock, I had just spoken to him about a week before he passed.

You had to take a break there, but were you able to find another drummer or are you still looking?

If the drummer is almost assured, one more clue can be given than what we saw in a recent interview for another Spanish media.

We have the new drummer as the new record is done, but I can't say who it is at this time until we prepare all the press and photos etc. 

What projects do you have for the future? Whether with Sinsaenum or your personal

New DAATH will be released next year, as well as new Vented, new Sinsaenum, and a new band called "And The Ugly ". 

Many times it becomes complicated when a member is involved in several projects because you yourself urgently need to do, carry out and be able to leave your ideas so that they are not forgotten, do you stop with that or do you take it well?

In all of my bands most of the writing is a collective effort in some way or another. Everyone has input, so if I start heading down the path of a previous pattern or lyric, they will guide me to something new. 

What are your favorite bands on the scene today?

I don't listen to a lot of new stuff, although one of my most recent favorite bands is Bad Omens.

I also like sleep token hahaha and so does everyone else apparently. 

What were your reference bands that made you stand out today both on stage and in recording studios?

My influences: I grew up in the Korn, Limp Bizkit, Manson, Deftones era of music. I love early 80's thrashy stuff too

but mainly that nu metal Slipknot era.
